New California State Grievance Readings
1050 Monterey St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93408
Superior Court House courtyard on Monterey, between Santa Rosa and Osos Streets
New California State declared Independence from the state of California on January 15, 2018, following Article IV, Section III of the United States Constitution. In the New California State declaration, there are 95 Grievances which list the reasons why New Californians are seeking independence from the state of California. It is our Constitutional right to do so, based on the First Amendment. Over the course of 96 weeks since the January 15, 2018 Declaration, New Californians have read 95 grievances. On November 19, 2019 New Californians gathered together around the state to read the final 95th Grievance.
Then in April 2020, we began our second set of 95 Grievances. Each Tuesday at 11am, the weekly Grievance is read in San Luis Obispo, at the Superior Court House courtyard on Monterey, between Santa Rosa and Osos Streets. All are welcomed! Free parking is available in the public parking complexes a block away on Palm and Morro.
